Before Starting
Software Step-by-Step Procedure
In this manual, you will learn how to realize tests by applying a load onto a sample. Please make sure that you stay below the limits of your load cell. The load range of your cell should be written on the latest sensor calibration certificate or directly on the load cell.
For proper initialization of the machine, it is recommended to turn on the machine first, wait 20 to 30 seconds and then turn on the software.
Components (Monitored values)

- Fz: It corresponds to the normal force measurement of the load cell and is always recorded.
- Fx: It corresponds to the lateral force measurement of the load cell.
- COF: It corresponds to the coefficient of friction calculated from both Fz and Fx/Ts.
- COF-TS:
with R=Radius for COF calculation of the testing balls.
- COF-Tz:
Rotary and Reciprocating modules:
· Frequency: Frequency of the reciprocating motion
· Cycles: Number of cycles of reciprocating motion performed since the start of the test.
· Velocity: Velocity of the reciprocating motion?
· Angle: Angle of the shaft creating the reciprocating motion.
· Position: Absolute position
X,Y,Z Position: absolute Axis position.
X,Y,Z Velocity: Axis displacement velocity measured in mm/s. 0 if stationnary
X,Y,Z Encoder:
Z Depth:
Additional components of specifics module and sensors description are detailed in their respective module/sensor guide.
Hardware Final Notes
- Always confirm all screws are hand-tightened and then secured with the appropriate Allen key.
- Refer to the full user manual for safety precautions and maintenance schedules
